My name is Steven Axelsen and I am a Lebanon Township resident currently attending Voorhees High School. I am also a boy scout in Lebanon Township Troop 92 working on my Eagle rank. Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America program. In order to attain the rank of Eagle there are many requirements, including an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.
I have participated in many sports and other activities in our community and have shown school spirit by participating in various athletics. However, my passion is baseball. The project I am managing to complete my Eagle rank consists of providing something back to my community while embodying my enthusiasm for a game that teaches how to work within a team, how to learn from your errors, how to maintain integrity and good sportsmanship even when you're down, and how to stay humble when you're soaring. Consequently, I am leading a project which entails installing a batting cage at Voorhees High School.
